What Type Of Child Care is Right For You?

There are many types of childcare, including:

  • Playgroups: A type of childcare that offers care for children in a local community

  • Childcare centers: A type of childcare that takes place in a commercial setting

What type of childcare is Mom Greta Preschool.  As the name implies, we offer not only to care for your child while at work but also to provide education to your child.  Children always learn even when at home or with babysitters but an environment where a child is being taught and prepared for school gives a child a leg up in school.

As a parent, you must decide what you want for your child. Basic care or some education.

Is Mom Greta also a childcare center? Yes – in South Africa if you start caring for more that 6 children, you are treated as a childcare center. ECD (Early childhood development) center.  When you are a center, you are subject to more regulation and compliance with Government rules, locally or at provincial or country level.

Children at childcare are either going to be there for the whole day or up to 2 pm.  Parents who working in Jobs like teaching, where school ends at 2:00pm they can pick up their children early whilst parents with jobs that go on till 5:00pm – leave the child for the whole day.

After school care is also something we will be offering at Mom Greta where children from other schools can join other kids for help with homework or extra curricula activities.
